SOWN Collection: yr. 2008-2009
SOWN pillows represent a unique story built off another. The fabric and typography used is from authentic
feed bags that have traveled to every part of the world in another form for another purpose. Combining
pieces of this fabric creates a pillow that is one-of-a kind and continues a story that began as another.
I started SOWN Designs in July 2008 when a I put a box of cloth feedbag remnants to use. The intent was
to begin with a small quantity of pillows for myself, but soon there were enough to start an etsy shop.
Currently I am a participant in a project called Design Box Collective and
SOWN Designs is featured in 1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse by Garth Johnson.
